Our Staff
James Lavoy
James Lavoy is a Master Certified mechanic with over four decades of experience, having started his career in 1982 and achieving master certification in 1985. Together with his wife, James founded MLM in 2001 and has been dedicated to growing the business ever since. Passionate about his work, James devotes most of his time to MLM, considering it both his career and primary hobby.
Carol Lavoy
Carol Lavoy has been integral to Major League Motors since its inception, dedicating her time and energy to both the shop and her family, particularly her grandchildren. In her rare moments of quiet, Carol finds solace in reading, favoring authors like Danielle Steel.
Mike Bal
Mike Bal has been in the automotive industry since 1991, getting his start at NTW thanks to friends who worked there. He’s worked alongside Jim Lavoy for over 20 years and has been part of MLM’s journey from the early days. Outside of work, Mike is passionate about music, which plays a big role in his life and downtime.
Ric Lawrence
Ric Lawrence is a fourth-generation automotive professional, born into the industry and, despite early plans to avoid it, ultimately drawn back by passion. With experience in both independent shops and the corporate world, Ric has found his home at MLM, where the team treats customers like family and focuses on helping the community. He’s grateful for the opportunity and is driven every day by his commitment to providing a better future for his kids.
Jeff Bashaw
Jeff Bashaw has been in the automotive industry for 40 years and has spent the last decade at MLM, where he enjoys the hands-on work and genuine connections with customers. Outside of work, Jeff focuses on family and rehabbing homes, always driven by his passion for fixing things and making sure people feel they’re getting true value.
John Walker
John Walker has been working on cars for 20 years and recently joined Major League Motors, where he’s been part of the team for about a month. Outside of work, John enjoys camping and spending time with his family and grandson, keeping life simple between work and home.
